Our Process

Initial Consultation
From the initial consultation our jewellery is all about you. We listen carefully to your ideas and wishes to ensure that the jewellery we create is as unique and individual as you are.

We’re with you every step of the way & expertly guide you through the entire process whether it be sourcing a selection of gemstones or talking you through the myriad of design options. Once you’re happy with your chosen gemstones, we then begin the process of designing your item of jewellery.
3D Designs
We create a series of 3D computer generated images of your design ensuring you’re fully involved in the creation of your individual and highly unique piece of jewellery.
Wax Model
After the 3D work is complete we then produce a custom-made 3D wax model of your design for you to try on – we do this to ensure there are no errors or unexpected surprises further down the line.
Finishing
After casting, your bespoke jewellery is finished at the bench, where any stones are set. Your finished jewellery is then sent to the Assay Office to be officially hallmarked.
New From Old
At Northern Star Jewellery we also specialise in designing and creating new jewellery pieces from existing jewellery that own or may have inherited. We can melt-down gold or re-use gemstones in order to retain the sentimental value of the item whilst carefully updating the style into something you’d be happy to wear and show off.
